Conservation and restoration of an archaeological structure belonging to the Almada Museum, known as Covas de Pão* (Bread Caves).
* Museum where a significant number of silos – “bread caves” – from the medieval period are preserved. As a result of archaeological excavations in the historical centre of Almada, it was found that the “bread caves” had a wider distribution, appearing throughout the area of ??the old medieval town. These structures excavated in the ground constituted a safe way to store cereals, thus guaranteeing the subsistence of the populations for longer periods of time. ©
